I bought Brian Eno's Ambient 1: Music For Airports, more or less when it came out. It was an album I listened to again and again and one which changed my idea of how music could work. Recently I was directed to an article about the music's creation by a friend. Reading about the nitty-gritty of how it was created prompted me to try out some of the same methods. I'm rather pleased with the result.
